Apples, bananas, a ukulele, triangle, castanets, acorns and a bicycle appear as mysterious lost items along the way. As a girl and a bear follow the trail, they stop to eat a banana, play music and are eventually joined by a squirrel. The gentle, humorous scenes make the illustrations enjoyable even just to look at.

The paper is made from Mino washi, a traditional Japanese paper with a pleasantly textured surface. Its distinctive feel also offers a writing experience characteristic of Japanese washi paper.
