Washi Tape with Gold Details – Maneki Neko by Ai Okino

Japanese washi tape filled with smiling maneki neko – traditional Japanese lucky cats.

Maneki neko 招き猫, meaning “beckoning cat”, is one of Japan’s most recognizable good-luck charms. The characteristic figure with a raised paw is believed to invite good fortune and prosperity, which is why it is often seen in Japanese shops, restaurants, and homes.
In Ai Okino’s design, the cats are presented in a cheerful and colorful style, while gold details give the pattern an even more festive feel. The tape also makes a lovely small gift or Japanese good-luck souvenir.

Ai Okino is a Japanese illustrator based in Imabari, Ehime Prefecture. Her warm, colorful illustrations mainly depict everyday life, nature, and friendly characters.

The tape is perfect for decorating planners, scrapbooking, gift wrapping, and embellishing cards and everyday notes.
