The chopstick rests are handmade by artisans in Gifu Prefecture, Japan.

The kappa motif is inspired by a creature from Japanese folklore – a water-dwelling being appearing in old legends and stories.
The humorous character of the design adds a distinctive Japanese touch to the table setting.
