Vintage Kimono Fabric in a Frame – Kiku

A fragment of a silk kimono made from high-quality fabric dating from the Taisho period and the early Showa era.
It features a bold design that was strikingly modern for its time, combining traditional Japanese aesthetics with a strong decorative style.

The chrysanthemum motif, known as kiku in Japanese, has long symbolized longevity and good fortune in Japan.
It is accompanied by a karakusa pattern of flowing vines and leaves, symbolizing continuity, growth and prosperity.

The fabric has no stains or visible soiling, but please note that it is a vintage material.
Each piece is completely unique – only one exists in the world.
