Dango chopstick rest

The chopstick rests were handmade by artisans from Gifu Prefecture in Japan.

Dango are traditional Japanese sweets that have long been enjoyed by children and adults alike.

The three-color dango (pink, white, and green) are wagashi that express the arrival of spring and the passing of the seasons.
Pink symbolizes cherry blossoms (sakura - spring and a joyful atmosphere), white represents snow (winter and its last traces), and green represents fresh greenery and awakening nature (summer and new plant life).

Together, these colors express the joy of spring's arrival and symbolize prosperity and good energy.
